POP: JANET JACKSON POSTPONES THREE MORE SHOWS

GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) -- Janet Jackson has postponed three more shows because she's sick, but we still don't know why she's sick. Jackson called off her show Saturday in Greensboro, North Carolina, yesterday's show in Atlanta and tomorrow's show in Fort Lauderdale. Jackson says in a statement she showed up in Greensboro with the intent to perform, but a local doctor advised against it after it became "evident" that she was not fully recovered. Jackson became suddenly ill and was in the hospital last Monday in Montreal. She called off two shows last week. Her publicist will only say that Jackson is "recuperating."

AC/R&B: NATALIE COLE IS OUT OF THE HOSPITAL

NEW YORK (AP) -- Natalie Cole is resting at her home in Los Angeles after being released from the hospital last week. Her publicist, Maureen O'Connor, says Cole is "feeling a lot better." She says Cole has been receiving kidney dialysis that's unrelated to her struggle with hepatitis C. Cole announced in July she had hepatitis C and blamed it on her drug use from years ago. Cole checked into the hospital September 12th, and O'Connor said it was because of the medicine she had been taking and a busy publicity schedule. Cole has just released an album called "Still Unforgettable."

ROCK: KID ROCK RELEASES HIS MUSIC DIGITALLY

UNDATED (AP) -- Kid Rock has gone digital, but on his own terms. Rock has signed a deal with Rhapsody to release his music. Rock has not allowed his music to be sold digitally before this. However, he is only allowing the purchase of entire albums, not individual tracks.

OLDIES/BLUES: B.B. KING IS PROUD OF NEW MUSEUM

INDIANOLA, Miss. (AP) -- B.B. King says a museum in his honor will help tell the story not just of him, but of the blues, too. King says the B.B. King Museum and Delta Interpretative Center is going to be "education to people, young and old, because it's going to talk about the origins of the blues." He says he's just the one who carried the baton because it started long before him. The museum is in King's hometown of Indianola, Mississippi, and is housed in an old cotton gin. King, who's 83, still plays about 120 gigs a year.

OLDIES: WHY JANIS IAN GAVE UP PIANO

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Janis Ian played music so much she nearly wore herself out. Ian says she gave up piano because she blew out a tendon more than a decade ago. The doctor told her she could keep playing piano, but it would mean losing the use of her arm when she shredded that tendon. That would mean she wouldn't be able to play guitar, either. Ian calls her decision to give up piano "a no-brainer." She says she's been playing music for 55 years and "no one ever thought anyone would live long enough to play an instrument that long." Ian has recently published her autobiography, called "Society's Child."

ROCK/ALTERNATIVE: RADIOHEAD, IRON MAIDEN AMONG MUSICIANS DEMANDING MORE POWER OVER THEIR MUSIC

LONDON (AP) -- Radiohead, Bryan Ferry, Iron Maiden and Chrissie Hynde are among the artists who are demanding greater control over their music. They are more than 60 founding members of the Featured Artists' Coalition. They want to retain control over the rights to their music as it becomes available through digital outlets, and they want a bigger cut of the money being made that way. Other artists involved include Billy Bragg, David Gilmour, Howard Jones, Craig David, Travis and The Verve.
