HIS INTRODUCTION TO THE SPORT CAME JUST TWO YEARS AGO - WHEN HE ENTERED A REGIONAL HAMBURGER-EATING CONTEST.

AND SO FAR, SHIBAYAMA IS ON THE VERGE OF BECOMING A BIGTIME EATING STAR.

SOME MIGHT SCOFF AT HIS TALENT FOR SCARFING - BUT THE DOCTOR SAYS HE HAS A PLAN TO SLICE UP HIS COMPETITION.

Shibayama:"It's now come to the point it's a sport and you want to push your body. Not many can say they're Top 10 in the world in something. I happen to be Top 10 in competitive eating and it's something to be proud of."
