Music Row Compromise Offered - Sky Arnold

Developers have submitted a plan for a $70 Million development on Demonbruen Street that doesn't destroy a music business.

That plan includes taking some of Joy Ford's parking lot though.

The independent music producer has refused to sell her building that houses Country International Records to developers. The battle gained city attention after Nashville officials filed eminent domain action to take her property from her.

"It's about my rights as a citizen," said Ford

City Officials tell Fox 17 News the compromise plan may keep that from happening.

"We think it's a good compromise we're hoping we can work this out," said Metro Development and Housing Agency director Phil Ryan.

Ford has not decided yet if she'll accept the offer. She says losing part of the parking lot is no small concession.

"If I don't have a place for anybody to park how can anybody do business with me," said Ford.Music Row Compromise Offered - Sky Arnold
