Suspects Sought in Two Robberies
Metro police are searching for two men who robbed two convenience within one hour early Thursday morning.
Metro police Captain Michele Donegan said the first robbery occurred at 601 block of Fesslers Lane at the Shell gas station. The second robbery took place at a Mapco station located at 456 Dickerson Pike.
Donegan said the suspects walked into the Shell station around 3:05 a.m. One of the suspects made a purchase to distract the clerk, while the other suspect grabbed the cash from the register and fled the scene in what police described as a maroon Concorde, possibly a 2000 model.
Shortly before 4 a.m., Donegan said the suspects robbed the Mapco. She said the suspects threatened to have a gun, which was not displayed during the time of the robbery. The suspects took money from the business and fled in the same vehicle used as the get away car in the Shell robbery.
No one was hurt during the robberies and police were able to provide descriptions of the suspects.
One of the suspects is described as a white male, wearing a black t-shirt, with khaki shorts. The second suspect is a black male, wearing a red shirt with the words "Office Team" on the back, he also was wearing a beige and brown khaki shorts, and a white cap.
Donegan also stated a third person, described as a black woman, was seen sitting in the back of the vehicle during the first robbery.
