Who Can Enter
1. To be eligible to participate in this contest, entrants must be Tennessee or Kentucky residents who are 18 years of age or older and reside in the WZTV-FOX 17 viewing area.
2. Employees of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., Sinclair Television of Tennessee, Inc., Sinclair Television of Nashville, Inc. and any other company which owns, programs or provides other services to television broadcast station WZTV-FOX 17 (the “Station”) Dairy Queen, their affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, any and all local television broadcast and cable stations, local radio and other media companies, and the immediate family members of each are ineligible. The term “immediate families” includes spouses, grandparents, parents, siblings, children and grandchildren.
How to Enter
(a) No purchase is necessary to enter. Only one entry per contestant.
(b) To enter, mail in a picture of yourself along with your name, date of birth, address, phone number to Tennessee Mornings “Birthdays”, 631 Mainstream Drive, Nashville, TN 37228. All pictures submitted to the “Tennessee Mornings Birthdays” will NOT be returned to anyone owning or submitting the pictures. FOX 17 and sponsor are not responsible for shipping and handling fees of mailing pictures to FOX 17. All entries received from ineligible entrants will be void. All entries become the property of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc. and the Station. No incomplete entries will be accepted. (A complete entry will include a release form from each person in the picture, a complete entry form, and a photo.)
(c) The contest starts on Monday, February, 4, 2008, and all entries must be received by Station by 5 a.m. CST on Wednesday, December 31, 2008. Station is not responsible for lost, late, or misdirected mail or for printing errors, server unavailability, computer or any other electronic malfunction.
(d) One (1) winner will be selected each week (M-F) from among valid entries on every Friday on the following dates: 2/8/08, 2/15/08, 2/22/08, 2/29/08, 3/7/08, 3/14/08, 3/21/08, 3/28/08, 4/4/08, 4/11/08, 4/18/08, 4/25/08, 5/2/08, 5/9/08, 5/16/08, 5/23/08, 5/30/08, 6/6/08, 6/13/08, 6/20/08, 6/27/08, 7/4/08, 7/11/08, 7/18/08, 7/25/08, 8/1/08, 8/8/08, 8/15/08, 8/22/08, 8/29/08, 9/5/08, 9/12/08, 9/19/08, 9/26/08, 10/3/08, 10/10/08, 10/17/08, 10/24/08, 10/31/08, 11/7/08, 11/14/08, 11/21/08, 11/28/08, 12/5/08, 12/12/08, 12/19/08, and 12/26/08.
(e) All entries received that are mutilated, tampered with, illegible, or from ineligible entrants will be void. All entries become the property of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc. and the Station and will not be acknowledged or returned.
The Prize(s)
1. One (1) winner will be selected each Friday for the duration of the contest. Each winner will receive one (1) twenty five dollar ($25.00) Dairy Queen gift card.
2. Winners will be notified by phone. Winners must sign and return a release and affidavit of eligibility, which must be received within five (5) days of notification. Winners must show picture identification to claim prizes. Station reserves the right to examine additional identification and may choose to accept or deny awarding the prize based on the identification presented.
3. If winner cannot be notified within three (3) days or does not timely return the affidavit of eligibility, the prize will be awarded to an alternate winner.
4. There will be no substitutions or cash alternatives for prizes except at the sole discretion of Station. The Station has the right to substitute a prize of similar value. No transfer or assignment of prizes is allowed.
5. The winners are responsible for paying all local, county, state and federal taxes on prizes based on the estimated retail value of the prizes as set forth in these rules.
6. Contestants are eligible to win only one prize within any one-hundred and eighty (180) day period, regardless of the number of contests entered.
7. Sinclair Television of Tennessee, Inc., Sinclair Television of Nashville, Inc., Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. are not liable if the provider of any part of the prize fails to satisfy its obligations to furnish its portion of the prize. The Station, sponsors, and prize provider shall not be responsible for winner’s failure to take the trip within the time frame described above, or cancellation of the trip by the winner.
8. Sinclair Television of Tennessee, Inc., Sinclair Television of Nashville, Inc., Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. are not responsible for any liabilities arising directly or indirectly from the award or use of the prize.
9. In claiming your prize, you acknowledge that Sinclair Television of Tennessee, Inc., Sinclair Television of Nashville, Inc., Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. and Sinclair Television Group, Inc. have the right to publicize your name, character, likeness, photograph, voice and the fact that you are the winner for promotional purposes without financial remuneration.
Odds of Winning/Miscellaneous
1. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received.
2. Complete contest rules are available Monday through Friday during normal business hours at FOX 17, My TV 30 & CW 58, 631 Mainstream Drive, Nashville, TN 37228 and on the Station’s website at www.fox17.com.
3. For a list of prize winners, send a separate, self-addressed, stamped envelope to FOX 17, My TV 30 & CW 58, c/o “Tennessee Mornings Birthdays” 631 Mainstream Drive, Nashville, TN 37228 by December 31, 2008.
4. This contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc. Sinclair Television of Tennessee, Inc., Sinclair Television of Nashville, Inc., Dairy Queen accepts no responsibility or liability in connection with any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by or resulting from the acceptance, possession or use of any prize awarded hereunder.
5. Station cannot be held liable for any lost or stolen entries, prizes or contest information.
6. Station reserves the right to make rules and contest changes and change the aforementioned contest dates.
