Do you broadcast in stereo?
Yes, we transmit stereo audio. Our system also passes the Dolby Surround Sound signals for those with Dolby decoders. Please note that some programs are not available in stereo.

If I purchase a home satellite system, will I need to keep my antenna?
No. FOX 17, MY TV 30, and CW 58 are available to subscribers of DirecTV and Dish Network. Please be aware that there is a monthly fee to the satellite carrier to receive the Nashville stations. If you are in an area where our signal can be received clearly (see our coverage map above) on a conventional outdoor antenna, you may choose to have an antenna in addition to your dish. Only those folks that live outside the WZTV coverage area where an outdoor antenna does not provide a viewable picture have the option of receiving alternate FOX programming from New York or Los Angeles. Keep in mind that FOX only represents a small portion of our broadcast day, and many of the programs you have been watching on our channel are locally licensed.

I used to get FOX 17 but just recently stopped receiving a signal.
This is a common complaint after power failures. Many new TVs are shipped with factory defaults set up for cable reception. With the TV receiver in the cable reception mode, channels 17 is NOT tuned to the same frequency as broadcast channels (UHF) 17. Cable systems have an alternate channel 17 which is actually in the VHF band at 139.25mHz , while WZTV over-the-air is in the UHF band at 489.25mHz. To correct this problem, look up the direction in your owners manual that came with the TV. You will have a menu option that allows you to switch your tuner back to the mode that is right for your connection: either standard broadcast reception or cable reception. Some earlier model TVs have a switch to change between cable and normal reception (sometimes labeled "ANTENNA" or "AIR"). These switches often get changed accidentally while cleaning the set, so check closely.

I used to receive FOX 17 clearly, but now it's snowy.
If you are on cable, you should contact your cable provider. If you have an antenna system, there are several possible problems. Your antenna may have been damaged in a storm or turned in high winds. The cable leading from your antenna may have been damaged. If you are unable to determine a problem with your antenna system, call or email our engineering during regular business hours at 615-244-1717 . We don't always have more answers, but we'll be happy to try to help point you in the right direction.

Can I receive your station on my satellite dish?
Yes. We uplink our signal via DirecTV and Dish Network. Unfortunately, we do not provide a feed for C-Band owners.
