Tres Leches con Chocolate

 

one half cup sweetened condensed milk

one half cup evaporated milk

one half cup light cream

6 sliced or large cubes of pound cake

1 cup white sugar

one third cup light corn syrup

one half cup heavy cream

3 tablespoons butter

one half cup cocoa powder

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

 

Mix together the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk and light cream. Bring to room temperature. Arrange the cake slices or cubes on deep dessert plates or shallow bowls. Pour the cream mixture over the cake slices. Heat the remaining ingredients in a small saucepan while stirring over medium low heat, stirring until the mixture gets smooth and begins to simmer. Simmer gently for 5 minutes. Pour chocolate sauce over cake drenched in the cream sauce. Serve immediately. Serves 6.
