Quick Scones

 

 

2lbs. of Loveless Cafe Biscuit Mix

1 stick (4oz.) Butter, Softened

2 cups Half and Half

1 cup Sugar

1 tsp. Vanilla

2 tsp. Orange Zest

1 cup Golden Raisins

 

 

Preheat oven to 350. Blend the Biscuit Mix and the softened butter. Combine Half and Half, sugar and vanilla in a mixing bowl

and whisk until well blended. Add the Biscuit Mix to the Half and Half mixture and fold until a soft dough is formed - do not overwork. Refrigerate for 20 minutes. Scoop into 2 oz. portions and place on a sheet tray lined with parchment paper. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

 

Tip: Add in a cup of fresh berries, jam or marmalade for a decadent breakfast.
